Top 5 Kosher Superfood Staples I Use for Health and Energy

When it comes to living a vibrant, Torah and Chassidus aligned life, what we put into our bodies matters for physical energy, clarity of mind, spiritual sensitivity, and overall well-being.

I’m always on the lookout for kosher-certified products that align with my values and nourish my body and mind. Below are five superfood products I personally use (or have used) and recommend, all of which are kosher-certified, nutrient-rich, and powerful in their own right.

Keep in mind, not all hechsherim (rabbinical certification) are actually kosher by orthodox Judaism standards. Consult your local orthodox Rabbi.

All of these products are, as far as I know and have asked, the top standard.

(I am not sponsored by any of these companies nor getting paid to write about them.)

1. Lifeboost Mushroom Coffee

Prior to keeping kosher, I would drink Four Sigmatic coffee, which mixed with functional mushrooms in it. When I made the switch to keeping kosher, I couldn’t find an alternative that was kosher and just as good. And yes, I tried all the ones I was aware of through research and word of mouth.

However, this year, by surprise, a friend showed me that Lifeboost now has a product with functional mushrooms. I got it immediately.

Lifeboost’s mushroom coffee combines high-quality, low-acid, single-origin beans with medicinal mushrooms like lion’s mane and chaga. These mushrooms support cognitive function, immune resilience, and stress balance. The result? Sustained, clean energy without the crash or jitters. It’s a perfect companion to morning learning of chassidus before prayers, journaling, or creative actions.

2. Laird Green Superfood

Laird’s blend includes spirulina, chlorella, and other potent greens, which are loaded with antioxidants, chlorophyll, and minerals. It’s a go-to for cellular detox, gut support, and an easy way to get greens. It’s great prior to morning prayers (after the cup of coffee).

3. Meant To Be Raw, Unpasteurized Dairy Milk & Yogurt

Meant To Be offers Cholov Yisroel kosher, raw, unpasteurized milk and yogurt from grass-fed cows. It is rich in enzymes, probiotics, and fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, and K2. Unlike conventional dairy, the nutrients are intact and easier to digest for many people. For those who tolerate raw dairy, it can be a deeply nourishing, traditional food. It’s perfect in smoothies or as yogurt. Unfortunately, however, it seems raw dairy can lead to constipation.

I go for the yogurt along with raw almonds, walnuts, and blueberries after morning prayers.

4. Organic India Tulsi Ashwagandha Tea

Whenever I go home or have my father visit, I buy or ask my mother to send my favorite tea. I guess I could get it off amazon, but it’s nice when someone brings you a gift.

This herbal tea is one of my favorite nighttime wind-downs, especially when I’m in night seder learning chassidus. Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) is revered in Ayurvedic tradition for calming the nervous system, while Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogen that helps the body regulate stress and restore balance. It’s a warm, grounding choice for body and soul.

5. Vassaberg Kosher Cod Liver Oil

Sourced from wild-caught fish and certified kosher, Vassaberg’s cod liver oil delivers high doses of omega-3s, vitamin A, and natural vitamin D. It supports everything from brain health to inflammation to hormone function. The back of the bottle writes that it’s best known for: anxiety, focusing, cataract prevention, avoiding winter blues, joint health, sensory regulation, balancing female hormones, and helps increase iron absorption.

When combined with the consumption of chassidus and torah learning, you will surely be infusing your body with healthy b’gashmius and b’ruchnius — physically and spiritually.

These products genuinely make a difference in how I feel and function. If you’re looking to upgrade your energy, focus, or general health while staying within kosher guidelines, these are good options to explore.

Always do your own research, ask your medical/nutritional professional or coach, and listen to your body, but I hope this list serves as a helpful springboard toward a more energized, aligned chassidic lifestyle.
